You can lose weight on almost any Food


How you might you ask could you lose weight eating McDonalds?

Because McDonalds still contains measurable calories and Macronutrient.


Why do people say that McDonalds is junk food?


Because McDonalds contains a lot of processed carbohydrates.

Because McDonalds contains large amounts of fats and especially trans fats.


Because McDonalds contains very little protein per calories.

Because McDonalds has little fibre.


Because McDonalds contains very little vitamins and minerals.


Because McDonalds is calorie dense food and difficult to make fit into a calorie reduced diet.


How do I lose weight whilst still eating McDonalds or any other so called junk food?


Meal deals are terrible for controlling calories. having a meal with fries and a Coke will never be easy to fit into calories and macro counts.

The best would be to order a burger and water. Skip the fries and Coke.


The same goes with most fast food outlets.

Avoid the specialty burgers with 2 or 3 patties and cheese. These have a lot more calories and fats and are difficult to make fit into calories and macronutrients.


Most takeaway foods are fine when the chips or fries and soft drinks are avoided.


The only food that I find is impossible to modify and won’t have enough protein is pizza. Pizza has a lot of calories and very little protein but lots of carbohydrates and fats. Best to avoid Pizza if your looking to eat out and still stay on track.


Conclusion

It is posible to stay on track when eating McDonalds and other take away foods. You just have to track what you eat and avoid value meals.


my other suggestion is to only eat these foods sometimes. Just because of the fact that they are deficient in protein, micronutrients and fibre.
