The Easy way to lose Weight

If that heading caught you then you are probably looking for a hopeful easy solution without too much effort.


Unfortunately I am not one of the liars of the fitness industry that will sell false hopes and bottled miracles.


If you want to lose weight or fat specifically then you will need to give up something or a lot of somethings.


But mostly you need to reduce your food intake to less than what you need and preferably do some exercise.


It’s simple but not easy.


All the fat your carrying are savings and you need to get back your income (food intake) and go on a spending spree which means burning more calories than you earn.


If you look at my previous articles you will realise that the intermittent fasting, Atkins, So Cal, low carb, high protein, carnivore, Paleo, weight watchers and Ultra low calorie diets will need to have one thing in common.


Less calories in than calories burnt. If you bought into all the above diets or created your own systems of clean eating or one junk day a week or one meal a Day then right now your probably frustrated and may have thrown a few scales.


Weight loss and fat loss are simple. Eat less and do some exercise. The best exercise is resistance exercise.


Why do we exercise?


To prevent muscle loss so that we don’t reduce out resting metabolic rate. But never use exercise just for calorie burning. If you do that then just like all the special diets you will stop doing it when you have lost some weight.


Then as sure as a yo yo comes back up, well a Coca Cola yo yo which seemed to be the best yo yos (interesting that Coca Cola and yo yo go together so well) .


All the diets listed above do work and there is nothing wrong with trying them as long as they fit your lifestyle and you can continue them.


I don’t know about you but drinking 2 shakes a day is not going to be a long term diet that I would like to follow. Not would eating almost no carbs, or just meat and I like my 5 meals a day.


The best diet is the diet that you could continue for ever. Not just for a goal.


That’s why losing weight is not easy. Because many people aren’t willing to change. They are not willing to get rid of foods that are most likely making them fat.


Or allowing small amounts at least of the foods that you love but that don’t love you.


There are foods that have less calories and more volume and these are the best foods to prevent overeating. But you like your tasty high calorie foods.


Back to the original point of the article. Weight loss is simple but not easy. You are going to have to reduce your tasty foods. You really should exercise to help build your metabolic rate.


Your are going to have moments of weakness. You are going to break your diet every now and then.


But, if you stop punishing moments of weakness with abusive words aimed at yourself. Or over exercising as punishment for being weak. You will be more forgiving to your plight and be more positive about the process.


Weight loss is not linear. It’s about working with your moments of commitment with moments of self doubt, diet fatigue and emotion.


Good days follow bad. The more you punish the bad days. The more bad days you will have. Then you won’t enjoy the process.


Enjoy every triumph. Enjoy every loss. Enjoy the process. Enjoy the improvements.
