Confidence Comes from Achievement

Confidence is just like motivation. It isn’t a magical force you can buy or just be given.
Confidence comes from achievement. As a trainer I can build people’s confidence but only through them actually achieving things that they had never achieved before.
When they achieve new things from workout to workout it gives them the confidence to try new things.
I remember reading an article many years ago suggesting that the mental energy needed to start a new goal is 10 times the mental energy needed to continue a goal.
Achieving goals takes a big push to get started and goal updates to continue to move forward.
Momentum is also just as important as building confidence. Once you stop for a while you lose confidence.
it’s important to continue achieving to maintain confidence and build more confidence.
